Sanjay Bhargava, MD, FACC, FSCAI, a multi-board-certified interventional cardiologist, has joined the Huguley office of HeartPlace, the largest cardiovascular group in North Texas.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Bhargava treats structural disease of the cardiovascular system, including coronary artery disease, chest pain, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, irregular heart rhythms and high cholesterol. He has extensive training and experience in cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, techniques of complex coronary intervention, stenting, sophisticated diagnostic procedures, and many other professional skills.
Before opening his Huguley practice, Dr. Bhargava worked as a cardiologist for five years at Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.
Dr. Bhargava has studied at two of the world’s top ten universities. Before completing medical school, he studied biochemistry and immunology at University College London. He earned his medical degree from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School, Imperial College London.
Dr. Bhargava completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York, serving as chief cardiology fellow and chief medical resident.
Dr. Bhargava is board certified in interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and internal medicine.
