Henry Cunningham, M.D., a board-certified specialist in pulmonology and critical care medicine, has joined the Huguley Memorial Medical Center Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Dr. Cunningham has a private practice, Texas Pulmonary & Critical Care Consultants, on the Huguley campus. He served as Huguley Chief of Staff from 1995 to 1996, and he has served on the Adventist Health System Corporate Physician Committee since 1996.
In 1988, Dr. Cunningham established his medical practice at Huguley after completing an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in pulmonology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas. He earned his medical and undergraduate degrees from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
“In the twenty years that Dr. Cunningham has been on our medical staff, he has demonstrated his depth of commitment to this hospital and the people it serves,” said Pete Weber, president and CEO of Huguley Memorial Medical Center. “We appreciate his dedication to the health of our community.”
The Huguley Board of Directors consists of eighteen members including community leaders, physicians, hospital administrators, and executives of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The board provides guidance and oversight to the medical center.
