Huguley Home Health Lends a Hand To Habitat For Humanity

November is Home Health month, and this year, Huguley Home Health rolled up its sleeves to lend a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity in Johnson County.  The non-profit home health agency, which provides skilled nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as home health aides, licensed social worker, and Chaplin services, reaches out daily to our community by caring for and educating people in their homes on health; but this past Sunday, some of the group went out to help build a Habitat for Humanity house in Alvarado for a local woman and her 2 children.

“This is just another example of the great dedication and caring hearts our staff and volunteers have for our community”, says Wiley Whitten, Administrator. “Habitat for Humanity helps build homes for families, and Huguley Home Health helps families stay home, where people can best heal after an episode in the hospital.”

Sunday the group helped put up trusses, plywood, and weather wrap. Below are some pictures from the event.
