Kristen Sutton Named Chief Nursing Officer for Texas Health Hospital Mansfield

Kristen Sutton, M.S.N, R.N., CCRN, NEA-BC has been appointed to the position of vice president and chief nursing officer for Texas Health Hospital Mansfield. Sutton currently serves as director of critical care and house supervision for AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, located in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this role she oversees critical care operations, patient experience, safety and quality improvement.


Sutton will report to Kenneth Rose,   president and CEO of Texas Health Mansfield. She will be responsible for leading nursing operations and patient care for the hospital.


     “Kristen has a love for people and helping others grow to achieve their potential which makes her a great fit for our people-centered culture,” said Rose. “This, in combination with her outstanding leadership and clinical skills, will be a great benefit to Texas Health Mansfield and its leadership team.”


Sutton began her career with AdventHealth in 2003 as a nurse technician before receiving her nursing degree. She served as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular critical care unit, radiology and as a nurse case manager prior to becoming the nurse leader for critical care operations. Sutton most recently completed her chief nursing officer fellowship with AdventHealth.


“I’m thrilled to be continuing my career with AdventHealth and to be able to bring whole-person care to the Mansfield community,” said Sutton. “It’s very exciting to be a part of the successful partnership between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth and build a new hospital for this vibrant and fast growing community.”


Sutton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She currently serves with several nonprofit organizations in Florida including Lifelink of Florida as a donation resource specialist, Pasco Education Foundation Scholarship Review Committee and the American Heart Association. Sutton enjoys traveling and attending sporting events with her family. A lifelong Floridian, she has a love for biking and the outdoors and is looking forward to moving to Texas. 



About Texas Health Hospital Mansfield

A joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth, Texas Health Hospital Mansfield will be located on 38 acres at Highway 287 and Lone Star Road in Mansfield, Texas. In addition to housing the 95-bed acute care hospital, the campus will include a medical office building for physician offices, imaging, surgical pre-testing, lab services and outpatient physical therapy. The hospital is slated to open in late 2020.
