Lisa Ortner, director of physician recruitment and relations for Huguley Memorial Medical Center, has earned certification as a medical staff recruiter by the American Academy of Medical Management. To achieve certification, candidates must pass a rigorous 150-question exam and meet professional experience and education requirements.
“Becoming certified validates that Lisa has the knowledge, skills and abilities to recruit top physicians to maintain Huguley’s high standard of care. It shows her commitment to professional excellence,” said Kent Tucker, vice president of ancillary services of Huguley Memorial Medical Center.
Ortner joined Huguley in 2006 and has served as community development manager for Huguley Memorial Medical Center and the interim director of Huguley Home Health. She earned a master’s degree in public health from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California and holds a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene.
A Burleson resident, Ortner is secretary of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce. Last year, she was honored with the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce Marzee Bartee Award and the Distinguished Alumna of the Year award from Southwestern Adventist University.
