Texas Health Huguley Behavioral Health Honored as a Platinum Status Facility by Optum
Texas Health Huguley Behavioral Health has recently been awarded the Platinum designation by Optum, formerly known as United Behavioral Health.  Only three other mental health centers in Texas received this honor.

The distinction is based on clinical data collected by Optum over the course of an entire year.  Optum looked at specific criteria, such as readmission rates and average length of inpatient stay, and compared Texas Health Huguley’s data to that of other regionally-based facilities.

“We recognize Texas Health Huguley Behavioral Health for delivering highly effective inpatient care in a cost-efficient manner and having a great impact benefitting patients.  I believe Texas Health Huguley truly represents the epitome of what outstanding mental health care services can and should be,” said Dr. Rick Jemanez, National Medical Director, External Health Plans for Optum. “They are a credit to their community and to the mental health profession at large.”

“We are extremely proud and honored to have received this Platinum distinction,” said Joshua Brown, Director of the Behavioral Health Center at Texas Health Huguley.  “I think it’s truly a well-deserved acknowledgement of the great work being performed by our team here.”

Brown continued, “When one of our providers refers a patient to our facility, they know that patient is going to receive excellent care. That is the kind of trust we’ve built with our providers over the years. And receiving Optum’s Platinum award serves to affirm that our providers’ trust is well placed.”

Texas Health Huguley Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of care, from individual and group counseling to inpatient care for psychiatric illnesses, crisis stabilization and detoxification from chemical addictions.  Full and half-day outpatient programs allow patients to live at home while attending sessions for psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
