Boyd Brown Corkran
Three Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South obstetric nurses have recently been granted RNC-OB – Certified Inpatient Obstetric Nurse – status by the National Certification Corporation. Shayla Boyd, RN, Heather Brown, RN, and Monica Corkran RN, each completed the specialty experience requirements and passed a rigorous examination.
“Achieving the RNC-OB certification is a reflection of these nurses’ commitment to patient care and safety. These nurses are leaders, mentors and role models in obstetric nursing, and we are pleased to recognize this outstanding achievement,” said Ann Siden, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, Director of Nursing Advancement for Texas Health Huguley Hospital.
Boyd, a Cleburne resident, joined Texas Health Huguley Hospital in 2006 and has a total of 11 years’ experience working as a nurse with women and children. Brown, who lives in Benbrook, joined the Women’s Services Department at Texas Health Huguley Hospital in 2011. Keene resident Corkran has spent five years as an obstetric nurse and three more years as a postpartum and gynecologic nurse.
