Vegetarian vs. Vegan – Is One Right for You

Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South’s Outpatient Dietitian, Megan Rhoades, RD, LD, will share information on the benefits of living your life without meat, at the upcoming free community nutrition class titled, “Vegetarian vs. Vegan: Is One Right for You?”

The one-hour class will provide information about vegetarian and vegan lifestyles, the different types of vegetarianism, what they entail, the benefits, and the concerns that come along with these diets. Rhoades will explain how to maintain a healthy, nutritious diet by eating vegetarian and vegan sources of protein, carbohydrates, and nutrients, as well as what nutritional supplements may be needed.

The class will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. at the Texas Health Huguley Fitness Center Amphitheater. Everyone in the community is encouraged to attend and learn simple ways to change lifestyles and improve personal health.

No RSVP is required, contact Rhoades at (817) 568-3155 to learn more.
