In early May, Zuri Franco, M.D., will join the internal medicine practice of Dr. Carlos Japas, who opened his Huguley practice in 1987.
As a board-certified internist, Dr. Franco specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect adults, including patients with multiple illnesses at the same time. She has a special interest in preventative medicine and cardiology. Most adults in the United States see internists as their primary medical provider.
After graduating from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Dr. Franco earned a medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio, where she served as chief resident and clinical instructor.
She is a member of the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha and the American College of Physicians. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Franco’s office may be reached at 817-551-0445 and is located in Suite 360 in the medical office building above the Huguley Emergency Department. Dr. Franco welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare.
Dr. Franco is a member of Huguley Medical Associates, the fastest growing multi-specialty physician group in Johnson County.
