Biography

John A. Thomas, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Following residency, Dr. Thomas completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Methodist Sports Medicine Center in Indianapolis, where he gained advanced training in the treatment of knee, shoulder and elbow injuries and assisted in the care of high school, collegiate and professional athletes, including the Indianapolis Colts. Dr. Thomas practiced in Houston before relocating to the Fort Worth area in 2007, where he became a partner in Lone Star Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists, PLLC. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee and hip replacement and comprehensive orthopedics care.
