Ceisha Ukatu, M.D. has joined Huguley Medical Associates and has opened a new otolaryngology practice on the Texas Health Huguley campus on Thursday, August 1.
As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Ukatu diagnoses and treats children and adults with disorders and diseases of the ear, nose, throat and related structures, including sinusitis, allergies, hearing loss, balance disorders, ear noise (tinnitus), ear infections, voice and swallowing disorders, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, nasal obstruction and deviated septum.
Dr. Ukatu performs surgeries including tonsillectomies, sinus surgeries, thyroid and parathyroid surgeries, sleep apnea surgeries, tympanoplasty and more.
“I want my patients to know that I will be their number one advocate,” said Dr. Ukatu. “Issues of the ear, nose and throat such as hearing and voice greatly affect how we interact with the world around us. These interactions are very important in our day-to-day life. My goal is to improve my patients' quality of life by always listening to their concerns and addressing their issues.”
Dr. Ukatu earned her undergraduate degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Ukatu completed a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
Dr. Ukatu’s office is located at 12001 South Freeway, Suite 209 on the Texas Health Huguley campus in Medical Office Building 5. The office may be reached at 682-385-7010. Dr. Ukatu welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
