Dr. Neef to Present Free Seminar on Women’s Health February 17

Obstetrician and gynecologist Jason Neef, M.D., will be the first featured speaker in a series of health lectures planned by Huguley Memorial Medical Center.  He will give a presentation on women’s health on Tuesday, February 17, at 6:30 in the amphitheater at Huguley Fitness Center.  The talk is free and open to the community.

Dr. Neef’s seminar will cover common health concerns for women of every age, with an emphasis on disease prevention and early detection.  Women will be able to submit questions, and Dr. Neef will address them in an informal question-and-answer session following his short presentation.

“My purpose is to share information and encourage women to take steps to live healthier lives.  Well-woman care is essential, because early detection of any health problem results in better outcomes,” says Dr. Neef.

Those who attend will receive a take-home bag with a summary of the presentation, guest passes to Huguley Fitness Center, valuable discount coupons, and other gifts.  A drawing for free massages will also be held.  Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.  Call 817-568-5459 to make reservations or learn more about the presentation.

Dr. Neef cares for women at all stages of life, including pregnancies and well-woman check-ups.  He offers several treatment options for both medical and surgical problems including multiple minimally invasive procedures.

Before joining Huguley Medical Associates in 2008, Dr. Neef completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he received the 2006 Academic Excellence award.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

Dr. Neef holds memberships in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas Medical Association.   A Midlothian native, he has been a frequent presenter on women’s health topics at medical conferences.

This health seminar is the first of several presentations planned by Huguley Memorial Medical Center.  In upcoming months, physicians will address cardiovascular health, breast disease, men’s health and digestive health.
