Eddie Smith has been named a director of Huguley Medical Associates. He currently oversees business operations for the offices of five primary care physicians. Also, he will manage the start-up of future Huguley Medical Associates primary care practices, which includes contracting with insurance companies, physician credentialing and licensing, and establishing the facilities.
Mr. Smith has 31 years of experience in healthcare administration. Prior to joining Huguley Medical Associates, he served as administrator for a community hospital in Portland, Tennessee for eight years. He also spent more than 20 years with Scott & White Clinic and Hospital in Temple, working as the administrator for more than 140 physicians in the department of internal medicine.
The four Huguley Medical Associates clinics he oversees are:
• Dr. Johnson Dellosa, family practice office in Alvarado
• Dr. Daniel Chadwick and Dr. David Dunn, family practice on the Huguley campus
• Dr. Dwight Hines, family practice office in Grandview
• Dr. Luis Retamozo, family practice office in Keene.
A Cleburne resident, Mr. Smith holds a degree in business administration from Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, Tennessee.
