One man and 125 women raised their heart rates as they raised $1200 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Held in the parking lot of Huguley Fitness Center, the second annual Zumbathon collected donations that exceeded the fundraising goal of $1000.
Erin McNearney of Cleburne said, “It was a great Zumba® party. The instructors were so animated, motivating, and full of energy. They got everyone moving with music, door prizes and fun.”
“We’re already looking forward to our Zumbathon next year. Because the event is free to everyone, it’s an excellent way to check out Zumba and see that fitness can be a celebration and help a great cause,” said Teri Foreman, director of Huguley Fitness Center.
