Grammy award-winning recording star Ronnie Milsap will headline the 19th annual Huguley Memorial Medical Center Crystal Heart Gala
, to be held Sunday, September 23 at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Fort Worth. Proceeds from the festive event will be used for Huguley’s Community Outreach Program, which provides health screenings, immunizations, minor medical care and valuable health education to thousands of men, women and children every year through the Huguley Mobile Health Services
bus and also in community and senior centers, churches and area businesses.
A self-described crossover artist, Milsap has been drawn to the simple and plaintive sounds of country as well as blues, R&B, pop and rock. His 40 chart-topping hits cover a wider stylistic terrain than any other superstar of country music. His tremendous range and emotional voice have helped him win four Country Music Association male vocalist of the year prizes and six Grammy awards.
This evening with Ronnie Milsap begins with a large silent auction and a four-course gourmet dinner, followed by the legendary singer’s performance. Longtime TV anchorman Scott Murray will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and The Zack King Band will provide reception entertainment.
“Since our first Crystal Heart Gala in 1994, nearly $2,000,000 has been raised to benefit the health of the community. Gala funds have helped build a hospice house on our campus, obtain and equip the Huguley Mobile Health Services bus, provide cancer screenings and much more,” said Ken Finch, president and CEO of Huguley Memorial Medical Center.
Table sponsorships and individual seats for $300 are available for the black-tie event. Donations for the auction are also welcome. For more information, call event chairperson Laurie Evans at 817-568-3281.
