Huguley Invites Women to Make “A Stitch in Time”
Huguley Memorial Medical Center will host “A Stitch in Time” on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00 pm at the Huguley Fitness Center amphitheater.  A trunk showing of quilts will be presented, combined with information on preventative skin care, for an informative and entertaining evening that is free and open to the public.

Debra Ball-Brummett, M.D., will speak on the importance of skin care, including information on sunscreen and skin care products. As a board-certified family physician, Dr. Ball-Brummett provides comprehensive care for families and individuals of all ages. She has a special interest in preventative medicine and women’s health.  Since March is a transitional month heading into spring and summer, it’s an excellent time for women to think about skin care.

“March is also National Quilting Month. Dr. Ball-Brummett and several other staff members at Huguley are active quilters, so we decided to share our passion with the community,” explained Clara Lord, environmental services director at Huguley.  Her daughter, Susan Ziegler of Weatherford, will be presenting a trunk show with a selection of quilts from her extensive collection. Ann Siden, women’s services director at Huguley and another quilting enthusiast, will also help out at the event.

A special announcement on exciting future plans for a program series designed for women will conclude the event. Refreshments will be served and fun door prizes will be offered. Admission is free. Participants should RSVP for the event at 817-568-5480.
