Jenifer Infante, Huguley Spirit of Women Coordinator
Huguley Memorial Medical Center will host women for a creative, educational and entertaining seminar called “Life’s Not a Spectator Sport.” This Spirit of Women® event will help women learn how they can protect their mobility and live with vitality, focusing on identifying personal risk and learning how to prevent the deterioration of their bones and joints.
The free event will be held Thursday, September 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huguley Fitness Center Amphitheater.
Attendees will learn how to recognize and prevent bone and joint disorders that can lead to impaired mobility in their everyday lives. These include arthritis, osteoporosis, repetitive stress injuries and fractures. The event will also feature free health screenings, including bone density and blood pressure.
“Women need to understand that it is not normal to experience pain in their joints or wince as they move. With modern medicine’s knowledge and increasing options for bone and joint health, women never need to become a spectator in the game of active living,” said Jenifer Infante, Huguley Spirit of Women coordinator. “This program gets women to think about their personal risk factors and learn ways to protect their mobility and current active lifestyle.”
Ms. Infante has been promoted to Spirit of Women coordinator for Huguley. Previously the imaging services liaison, Ms. Infante holds a Bachelor’s degree in community education, health specialist from Texas Women’s University. A Burleson resident, she has worked for Huguley for two years.
