At 1:08 p.m. on January 1, Huguley Memorial Medical Center welcomed Blake Everett Adair, the first baby born at Huguley in 2010. Dr. Cynthia English delivered the 6 pound, 13 ounce baby boy of Michael and Stephanie Adair of Burleson.
“Each baby is a celebration of the gift of life, and having the first baby of the year adds even more excitement to the joyous occasion. What a great way to start out the New Year,” said Ann Siden, R.N., Director of Women’s Services. More than 1000 babies are born at Huguley each year.
Besides taking home their bundle of joy, the Adairs will also take home a special gift basket donated by the Huguley Volunteer Auxiliary for the first baby. It includes stuffed animals, clothing items, a photo album and frame, a blanket, toys, diapers and personal care items. National Bank of Texas donated a savings bond, and Everlasting Moments Studio will give the family a photography package. The proud parents will also receive a gift certificate provided by Huguley Fitness Center.
