Huguley Memorial Medical Center will unite our community with 70 other cities across the U.S. for the annual Spirit of Women®
national Day of Dance for Your Health on Saturday, February 26. The free event, held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Huguley Fitness Center
, brings together people of all ages for an evening of education, dance performances, and community celebration focused on heart health.
Day of Dance for Your Health takes place during Heart Health Awareness Month to increase awareness of heart and vascular disease. Participants can schedule free peripheral artery disease screenings. A brief presentation by Louis Cristol, M.D

will remind participants that heart disease prevention can be a fun and energizing experience.
The TCU Showgirls will kick off the evening by performing one of their award-winning routines followed by performances by local dance groups including Frances Lea Dance Center, Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Artistic Motion, Gotta Dance and Huguley Fitness Center.
The Huguley Fitness Center group instructors will demonstrate Kids Zumba, a new fitness craze. Concluding the event, all guests will be invited to zumba dance to “stomp out heart disease.”
Day of Dance sponsors include the H-E-B Pharmacy, Good Housekeeping, The Heart Truth, and HealthySleepCrusade.com.
