Huguley Memorial Medical Center has promoted Sheila Rogers, RNC, to Care Manager of Women’s Services, effective immediately. She is responsible for the management, organization, and direction of patient care for Women’s Services, which consists of labor and delivery, newborn nursery, post-partum care and gynecologic surgery. Mrs. Rogers will supervise a staff of sixty nurses.
Prior to her promotion, Mrs. Rogers was a charge nurse for Women’s Services. Mrs. Rogers has worked for Huguley for twenty years, beginning as a unit secretary for the surgery department. While she was enrolled in the Tarrant County College registered nurse program, she transferred to Women’s Services as a nurse tech. After becoming a nurse in 1990, she continued in the unit as a nurse. During 2005, she worked in the outpatient surgery department of Cook’s Children’s Hospital and at Huguley as needed.
A Cleburne resident, Mrs. Rogers is a certified inpatient obstetric nurse. She is a neonatal resuscitation program instructor and a neonatal nurse clinician, trained to attend deliveries and give resuscitations to newborns if needed. Mrs. Rogers is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses.
