Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South Hosting Robot Naming Contest for New da Vinci Xi Surgical System
Texas Health Huguley is proud to announce the recent acquisition of the da Vinci Xi surgical system to its robotic surgery program. The arrival of the surgical robot will be celebrated with a Name the Robot event on Friday, June 15 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Texas Health Huguley main lobby.
This event is open to the community and will feature demonstrations with the da Vinci Xi, refreshments and the opportunity to help name the robot.
The da Vinci Xi System has broader capabilities than prior generations of the da Vinci System. It can be used across a wide spectrum of minimally invasive surgical procedures and has been optimized for complex, multi-quadrant surgeries. It is a key piece of technology for Texas Health Huguley’s growing Oncology Program to provide our community with advanced care close to home.
For more than a decade, da Vinci Surgical Systems have provided patients with a minimally invasive alternative to open surgery that reduces many of the costs and complications associated with open procedures. Intuitive Surgical designed the new da Vinci Xi System with the goal of further advancing the technology used in minimally invasive surgery for complex diseases and conditions in gynecology, urology, thoracic, cardiac, and general surgery.
Texas Health Huguley is located at 11801 South Freeway.
